ABOUT ALONE
ALONE is a national organisation that supports and empowers older
people to age happily and securely at home. We support individuals and
their families, work with other organisations, and campaign nationwide
to improve the lives of older people.
We work with all older people, including those who are lonely,
isolated, homeless, living in poverty, or are facing other
difficulties. We support them through these challenges to help them
find long term solutions.
We are currently seeking to recruit a dynamic CORPORATE FUNDRAISER who
will work as part of a team to deliver an ambitious fundraising
strategy. Responsible to Fundraising Manager.
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY
To support the work of ALONE?s fundraising team and to raise funds
from ALONE?s existing corporate partners as well as developing new
business opportunities within the corporate sector. To ensure good
donor care and stewardship. To manage ALONE ?s corporate fundraising
events and to support community fundraising as required. To identify
and manage 3rd party fundraising opportunities. To work across teams
to help ensure the delivery of ALONE?s strategic goals.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Retaining and developing existing corporate relationships
* Recruiting new corporate supporters
* Managing corporate social events with older people
* Responsibility for corporate volunteering days - logistics,
planning and implementation
* Assisting with planning and executing community fundraising
activity from Facebook Challenges to third party events including: VHI
Women?s Mini marathon, Hell and Back, etc.
* Working with our communications team to provide content and agree
coverage and scheduling for fundraising events and projects
* Researching grant opportunities from National and International
sources.
* Working across teams to identify funding opportunities
* Producing impact reports for previously won grants
* Developing Community and Corporate content for marketing materials
* Researching new corporate funding opportunities
* Participating in relevant fundraising networks
* Managing junior team members as required
* Supporting any other fundraising activity as required
SKILLS AND BACKGROUND
* Minimum of 2 years? experience working in a fundraising role
* Experience of managing multi-level partnerships
* Excellent communications skills ? written and verbal
* Ability to work on own initiative
* Experience using CRM Systems and MS Office (Excel, Word, Teams?)
* Analytical and reporting skills
* Proficient at pitching and experience of closing sales
* Ability to work well within a team and to develop good cross
department relationships within ALONE
ESSENTIAL
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Previous fundraising experience
* Ability to work in a flexible working environment while
maintaining focus on key role and responsibilities.
* Full clean Driving licence
DESIRABLE
* Previous experience in corporate fundraising
* Good presentation skills
* Experience using Salesforce
PERSON SPECIFICATION
* 3rd level qualification in fundraising/marketing/business
* Previous fundraising experience
* Self-motivated, flexible person who is committed to our mission
* Excellent inter-personal skills and experience of working well
with people
* Excellent verbal and written communications skills
* Excellent computer literacy and ability to adapt to new systems
* Experience in analysis and reporting
* Strong time management and excellent planning and project
management skills
* An ability to maintain the highest standards of confidentiality
and respect
FURTHER DETAILS
* The position is full-time and dependent on annual funding

* The position will be remote based initially and then at our Head
Office at Olympic House, Pleasants Street, Dublin 8 after

* Remote Induction and training will be carried out on commencement
